In India cricket is one game that every man enjoys the most. Be it a school kid, college boy or working men, everyone has the passion for cricket. For us cricket is like a religion and Sachin a god (earlier). Now we have many young and energetic players who win matches for India. World cup, Champions Trophy or IPL every match is watched with intense passion. I m no more different. I love this game immensely and love conversing about this topic.
During the inauguration season of IPL, all of us were eagerly waiting for teams to fight it up. The amount invested was more than billon dollars. After the first match that had a blitzkrieg innings played by Brendon Mc-cullum the rate of interest soared up like anything. Just when the IPL was in the final stage I was assigned a project in Pune. I couldn t say no for the project as it was my job. Also it was hard to miss the IPL finals. No matter how much passion you have for certain things, all passion gets vaporize when your job is at stake. I left for Pune early morning from Mumbai. My project started with meeting with the client was schedule at 10.00 am at Hotel Pancard Clubs Pune. The hotel itself was located very interior in some Area 51. The club was huge and the striking feature of it was its revolving lounge. The meeting started off well and was finished by afternoon. I was asked to join the client for lunch which I accepted as I had enough time.
The client was really a nice host. We had our lunch in Pancard Clubs only. After having lunch she asked me to stay back as she wanted to discuss some more things. Now, I was in a soup. Here my client needs to discuss some more business plan and there I would be missing IPL matches. Unwillingly, I agreed to stay back to discuss her business plan. After lunch, she started with her presentation about the new venture she wishes to undertake. The venture sounded good. I started providing her tips for this venture. She was pretty impressed with my views which she kept on applauding. I wished I could have hit her as coz of her I will be missing my cricket match. When the meeting got over she asked me to join her for few drinks. I politely said no and was about to leave. The next thing she said made me very happy. She said that we both can spend the whole night at Pancard Clubs, Pune watching IPL finals. The smile on my face was so broad that it was visible to her and she understood the reason I declined her previous offer for few drinks. We watched the entire match together at the club. It was somewhat amusing to see a girl having lots of interest in a cricket match. The other people watching it with us were also enjoying the match. After the match we hit the discotheque to celebrate the Rajasthan s win. We both were supporting the underdogs as our team Mumbai crushed out very early. After all the fun we had, she asked her driver to drop me at my company s guest house. It was indeed a good experience of watching a match in a club like Pancard Clubs Pune.
